Excellent story definitely NSFW due to harem scenes and snorting liquid through your nose and onto your keyboard during some scenes. Luckily I now protect my keyboard with cling wrap due to this recurring problem. Xander decides to let a little fun into Halloween and goes as the grandson of various characters from the Web comic Girl Genius. Due to his luck and the Spark he ends up being catapulted into the DC universe when the spell ends. Even if you have never read the comic (you should) or heard of steam-punk the author does a good job of filling in the background as the story progresses. And this is Xander so either his luck is beyond excellent or so bad to be unbelievable. This is a story that is hard to describe, there is action, comedy, sex, darkness, power trips, jokes on Batman & Superman, stupidity in politics and so much more. The author does not try and jump in the deep end each character is brought forth and developed properly. Xander is not perfect he makes mistakes sometimes big ones and his morality can be a bit shaky at times but he is trying to make a place for himself and keep his girls (You won't believe who is in his harem) safe. He even manages to corrupt his old universe and the Powers That Be are confused.

Excellent story the world is ending and the gods are not happy. They decide that the world needs more champions and that the infamous Halloween Costume Magical night was the best chance especially if they use only one the Marvel Comics. They also decided to fix a few of the more problematic people. Mainly Buffy and her inability to listen to anyone and Angel would couldn't hold on to his soul and caused more problems with his wishy washy character. They also bring in more people early such as the Gunns, the Doyles, Pike, Jonathan, Wood and some potentials. Afterwards they keep most of the powers they are permanent but what I like is that they are not all powerful. They are human they make mistakes, they are teens and young adults and hormones get in the way but it is a damn good story and definitely worth rereading.

I do like the YAHF because you can do so many crossovers with them. This is one with Helsing in which Xander dresses as a famous butler and now he is in the land of tweed dealing with an insane boss, an even more insane vampire, plots in plots and duty. Exciting story with twists and turns enough to surprise you. Xander is special and proves his depth of character once again.

Xander the Mercenary (and the sequel) BTVS

I love Xander and while I have never read the webcomic Schlock Mercenary I still enjoy the story. The author has put enough information into the story that it does not matter whether you are familiar with the story or not. I love the ships A1 Petey I wish I had someone like him. The story starts as YAHF however Xander finds out that Petey left a copy of himself in case he was needed and that he considers Xander the new captain. Petey recreated the ship Post Dated Check Loan and Xander is off saving the galaxy and having a lot of fun along the way along with the Scooby gang and SG-1.
