Awesome story! This is a very pivotal point in the story and the author uses it well. In this case Sirius stops by Godrics Hollow instead of continuing his flight to safety in order to say goodbye. In doing so he realizes the mistakes he makes and what he could and should have done in regards to Harry. At that point the desire to get as far away from England suddenly fades and he realizes that he was under a mild compulsion spell. His resolve strengthens when he realizes that he can no longer trust Dumbledore explicitly. It is time he turned to his roots because the only one that can stand up to Dumbledore, the Ministry, the Wizengamot and the Deatheators is going to be Lord Black of the Ancient and Noble House of Black. Look out Britain the Blacks and Potters are back and stronger then ever. Voldemort will never know what hit him.

Excellent mentor story. No bashing, no super Harry, no instant parent, instead a story about a promise kept, a trust earned, a life saved and a child that learns that he can depend on someone to be there when he walks into danger. I love this story in that Snape remains in character. He does not become some sentimental lovey dovey guardian. He is sarcastic, obnoxious, tells the truth no matter how it hurts and will do anything and everything to protect the son of his best friend. First as an obligation then because he sees him as his son. New twist for getting rid of Voldemort that I have seen variations of but not this particular method and it follows the laws of magic.

I love this story poor Harry he just cannot get it right. This story is in response to a challenge posted and is one of the few going back in time stories that is not over the top. He has power but it has its own problems. He has two possible soul bonds and accidentally bonds with both instead of choosing one. He is changing things left and right and I love how he deals with a Snape that is much more then he seems. The story flows well, there is action, romance, humor and they have to deal with some dark issues that they may not be ready for. The characterization of Ginny is very interesting and one I do not remember having read before. I cannot wait to see where the author is going with it. This is a great story and one that only gets better as it goes along.

I do love Severus and Harry in any relationship which is weird when you think about it but they click. In this you have the cliche wrong boy who lived but without the over the top abuse you find in some stories. Snape gets roped into watching Harry when training begins with Adrian and over time they develop a  relationship that transcends the normal mentor to a father son relationship. Harry loves his parents but they cannot relate to him anymore. This is a Harry raised to be all that he can be by someone who believes in him. Introduce Merlin and a new prophecy, a friend closer then his own twin, friends that believe in him and a mind that was taught there are no limits you have an awesome story. I love the trouble he and Snape get into on their hidden vacations and when they do the great reveal I was laughing so hard I was crying. Cannot wait to see where it goes next.

I love this series of one shots because damn they are funny. Slayers do not know she is with the Avengers and a shield agent; the Avengers do not know she is a slayer and strong enough to knock out Ironman. Of course eventually they each find out and it is just a light hearted funny series that does not take itself too seriously. This has got to be one of my favorite lines in the series. This is when Coulson gives her the badge making her a "Limited" Shield agent because he has made it clear if she is ever a full time agent he is retiring.

"Does that mean I get a title? Am I Agent Lewis? Can I arrest people? Can I shoot people? Can I squeeze them, and hug them, and call them George?"
Coulson picked up his pen and returned to his paperwork. "You're title is Special Agent Lewis. You could arrest people before. Excellent story the world is ending and the gods are not happy. They decide that the world needs more champions and that the infamous Halloween Costume Magical night was the best chance especially if they use only one the Marvel Comics. They also decided to fix a few of the more problematic people. Mainly Buffy and her inability to listen to anyone and Angel would couldn't hold on to his soul and caused more problems with his wishy washy character. They also bring in more people early such as the Gunns, the Doyles, Pike, Jonathan, Wood and some potentials. Afterwards they keep most of the powers they are permanent but what I like is that they are not all powerful. They are human they make mistakes, they are teens and young adults and hormones get in the way but it is a damn good story and definitely worth rereading.

Excellent story, I love this story mainly because it flows so well and is realistic. Rich Squib customers come to the Dursleys for dinner and just happen to hear a voice under the stair. At first he thinks it is a house elf after checking because he was sure he was dealing with muggles he finds he was wrong. Upon realizing it is a child's voice he asks his name, when Marcus Black hears the name Harry Potter he is furious. He calls to his wife Clytemnestra Malfoy Black and after hearing the pitiful excuses and comments they take 6 year old Harry away.
 They know they must do something and Marcus has a portrait of the Potters as he was close to James. After consulting they decide to make him a Black using dark blood magic. He is presented as the son of Regina Malfoy and Sirius Black. And the story takes off from there the most interesting characters to me are Cassiopeia Black and Abraxas Malfoy. Cassiopeia finds out the truth almost from the beginning but decides he has enough Black blood through his grandmother and the blood ritual as well as the power to defeat the Dark Lord and lets not forget being a parselmouth to become an excellent Heir and future Lord preferably dark but would settle for grey. Dumbledore never saw them coming.

Awesome story that combines BTVS and Harry Potter perfectly. I usually do not like Harry/Ginny pairings as she always seemed lack character  Here the author shows just what Ginny is capable of from the moment she hears the words "Are you ready to be strong?" She uses her new powers immediately and later flat out tells Harry he is not doing this without her. She is more then his equal and will stand at his side. The action is amazing and the story flows consistently. She has slayer dreams to warn of trouble even though no one believes the first one. The getting the cup was pure thrill ride. A story definitely worth re-reading.

Another awesome story by Robst who has so far never written a story less then excellent. In this one Vernon returns Harry to the goblins who agree to take Harry into escrow.  Harry has been raised as a warrior and sent to Hogwarts in order to decide if he wishes to be considered Goblin or Wizard. The meeting with Hermione on the train is pivotal to the story. Hermione fell at first site of Harry who looked as if he stepped out of Pride and Prejudice as a younger version of Darcy. With the support of Hermione he foils everyone of Dumbledore's plans to bring him back into control. He brings Neville along for the ride and shows what a Harry Potter raised to think for himself, fight for what he believes in and independent without being arrogant can accomplish. The Wizarding World will never know what hit them.

Excellent story that is funny, sad, exciting, some angst, and did I mention funny as hell. I love Xander and Spike and once you put them in Harry's world it is perfection. I think the qoute below describes the story perfectly:

My friend is a major earth witch. The little ritual that Moldywarts fellow pulled a month and a half or so ago got her attention. We started digging around, thinking some idiot was trying to end the world again. Instead we discovered Moldywarts, and Harry, and decided to come over and offer some help, because from the looks of things, you're not getting all that much."

The story then continues in a traditional Xander fashion and there is a sequel. What do they do with the ministry after they save it?

I do like the YAHF because you can do so many crossovers with them. This is one with Helsing in which Xander dresses as a famous butler and now he is in the land of tweed dealing with an insane boss, an even more insane vampire, plots in plots and duty. Exciting story with twists and turns enough to surprise you. Xander is special and proves his depth of character once again.

A good story that in the last few chapters became a great story. The story line of Harry being abused then found by a member of the staff usually Snape then rescued as been done a thousand times. This is definitely one of the better ones. Good Malfoy and a great manipulative Dumbledore make the story come to life. The drawings in the cupboard was an innovative touch and made the transition from guardian to son easier to understand from Harry's point of view. His angel told him that the Dark Man would save him and he did. The characters are human not saints and make mistakes. There is no Weasley bashing although Ron does prove that he is an immature git. The ending will surprise you and the fact that justice was served just makes it more enjoyable. I know I cheered. I do hope there is a sequel dealing with Sirius Black because we all know that he will never stand for Severus Snape being the father of Harry Potter.

The continuation of Broken Wings and a great story in of itself. It does drag in a couple of spots but the author quickly brings the action back. I do love the way the author shows that just because you defeat the monster happily ever after has to be worked for. You cannot go through war, danger, death, abuse and still be a calm, cheery individual. When the battles are over is when you need your loved ones the most even if it is to give that boot in the ass to get help. Hedwig is hilarious you can see that this is an owl with an opinion and she is not afraid to tell her human that he is out of line.

I first read this story a couple of years ago then could not find it again which is the main reason for the blog. Not finding stories again not just this particular story.

Awesome story because of the characterization, you get a real feel for the players. If that makes any sense what I mean is that the author gives you enough background that you can see the connections. Snape has always been the perfect partner for Harry because he can truthfully say been there, done that and if I can survive so can you even if I have to drag you every step of the way. Teenagers make stupid decisions everyday, they all feel that no one has ever been where they are and that they will do anything for the pain to go away. Add magic and voila you can escape into an animagus form and being a teen you figure what the hell lets leap out of the tower window because I can fly. Oops well at least Snape was there to put him back together in more ways then one. I love this Snape and cannot wait to finish the sequel.

I do like stories where Snape gets his head out his ass and becomes the snarky, iron covered marshmallow heart that we all love. Not to mention his familiar that will make you laugh Skullduggery, a raven from the Tower, smart ass, intelligent, loyal and did I mention smart ass. Au from the Troll incident where Harry ends up in the library depressed that all are celebrating the death of his parents, Snape finds him then the troll does. Nothing ties you together better then fighting a troll.

Lovely Christmas story I have to admit I fell a little in love with Augustus Prince Severus's grandfather. Now that was a true lord and warrior. The Dursleys decide to get rid of Harry in an innovative way, they dump in a manger in a creche scene and our favorite Potion Master happens to be passing by depressed at his life. This is a story where he does not join the Deatheators instead concentrating on getting his Masters. At his wits end at dealing with a sick toddler which was funny because been there, done that he finds a letter from his mother telling him to go to his grandfather. He does and this is the story of Harry raised as a Snape not a weapon.

Awesome story I do love Xander he is such a wonderfully underused charachter. This is a crossover with Charmed in which the gang push him out after the Mayor and  Xander finds out that he is not a Harris after all. Of course he finds out because under attack he vanishes in a ball of light. He becomes the champion of Ares and the Patron God of Snipers. Excellent story and got a love Mrs. Summers when she goes looking for answers and tells Giles "Freeze Brit boy"

Awesome story. I wish there were more timetravel stories this good. The caption pretty much covers it.

Betrayed by Weasleys, Manipulated by Dumbledore, Saved by Snape. All to win a war, only to lose the battle and die. So Fate steps in and sends them back to try again.Changing things along the way.

From the beginning things change there are surprises in almost every chapter. The writing is clear with believable explanations for different actions. I love Snape in this one. He is at war with himself only not really seems Dumbledore has his hand in a lot of minds. Cannot wait for more.

I do love good soul bonding fics and if I cannot have Harry/Severus or Harry/Draco then Harry/Hermione is the best. They kiss just before 3rd year and having a bond mate makes all the difference in Harry's future. The story is unfinished but at over 50 chapters is a good read now. While there is some character bashing it is not over the top and characters can be seen to grow up, well after several slapdowns of course. Harry is not suddenly a super wizard power is built up slowly and he makes mistakes along the way.
